Belkin CarAudio Connect FM Bluetooth F8M117au $64 + $9.55 Delivery @ Shopping Express

41

I have been looking for one of these for a while. I did some research and this turned out to be the cheapest stock in AU that I can find.

It's not as cheap as the $45 it has been in the past, but interestingly they tend to sell for more than this used on eBay.

OW don't appear to have them so can't price match :(

Hope it helps someone :)

  • Seems like standard pricing, $69 on eBay from I-tech.. Not really a bargain

  • 69 bucks + free postage on ebay.. so not really a bargain.

    • How is $64 + $9.55 = $73.55 a better deal? Sorry, I misread your comment.

  • does this provide better audio quality than normal fm transmitters which cost a few bucks on ebay?

    • Yes it does, I use to have both an el-cheapo one from ebay and a Belkin FM transmitter I bought for $120 and the Belkin was far better, has much better audio quality.

      • yeah maybe it is the bluetooth that helps, might get a better quality one as my car is old and does not allow for installing an aftermarket bluetooth head unit

        • Nah the Belkin I had was 30-pin iPhone. I don't use any of these transmitters anymore, but I find with my car stereo that the AUX give much better audio quality than the bluetooth.

        • What car? Can't imagine any car without a din slot…

    • Audio quality is average, you hear plenty of compression artifact. (in my experience with mine)

      • What's average quality? The cheapo or belkin?

        • You won't go wrong with this Belkin one, it is a good quality transmitter. But if your car has AUX or bluetooth there is no point getting this, unless you want the call feature.

        • the belkin - frequency response if fine, but it sounds like 96kbps mp3 or maybe a bit worse as far as compression artifact you hear. It's not terrible but if you are any sort of audiophile it'll get on your nerves, for the convenience though jump in the car, play some music its almost tolerable.

    • +1

Not Bluetooth… but thanks anyway :)

      • I had this model before and had bad experience when driving under power line, at the end return to harvey norman.

Went to buy Belkin F8Z492-P Bluetooth Music Receiver and very happy

        • Thanks for the info. Unfortunately the F8Z492-P you mention doesn't have the FM transmitter part.
