  • It says up to 40% on deal but there are products with over 60% off

Most of them are seller refurbished with stock photos. And the percentage off is based on RRP. Basically, these are second hand ones.

By the way, the ones I am interested all have this message: Does not ship to Australia. So, that means a forwarder is required. I guess I am only interested in dirt cheap ones…

    For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-iPhone-5C-16GB-4G-LTE-Blue-Spr…

    • You have got to ask yourself how they obtained these. Like sending out software updates that require the unit to be serviced, iOS 7 anyone..

      • +1

Yeah, second hand, no real photos, the cheap ones are US only (need a forwarder). Probably won't worry about it. I already paid enough Apple tax.

  • Ill update

  • Guessing this won't work here?

Which (economical) carriers will take the lithium batteries? I know some of the carriers that Shipito use have a 'problem' taking items with lithium batteries.

More the locked to sprint network?

        • you can purchase unlock codes on ebay for a few dollars.

  • Thanks OP, Most of the deals (for iPads) I have seen so far are available for International Shipping for $25 to $29.

  • Out of curiosity can you unlock a US iphone? If so how?

    Thanks :)

    • Sprint is unlocked i think
At and t unlocks are like 20 something US dollars

      • depending on the phone

Yes, with jailbreak & that's legal

      • Jailbreaking is legal. Unlocking it yourself isn't.

Jailbreaking is legal. Unlocking it yourself isn't.

There are no laws or legislation in Australia forbidding the unlocking of carrier locked mobile 'phones.

        • You can also buy unlock codes from ebay for a couple of bucks.

      • Yes, with jailbreak & that's legal

Jailbreaking won't help you carrier unlock an iPhone anymore.

Firstly, I would not get a Sprint model as it is probably locked. Unlocking it can be a nightmare.

    Also, I had a look at the 5S 64GB model - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-iPhone-5s-Latest-Model-64GB-FA….
It is the AT&T version which means the Model A1533 (GSM). However, in Australia Apple sells the Model A1530. Apple officially states which models cover which country: https://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

However, I think the A1533 probably covers all the Australian LTE bands, according to the following:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/22963738
    http://www.studiomarch.com/iphone-lte/
    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2250353
    http://community.vodafone.com.au/t5/Network/IPhone-5S-4G-acc…
Edit: after reading the discussions, I'm a little bit more coy about the A1533.

If anyone has had any experience using the A1533 in Australia, I would be interested to know their experience.

      Automatic thumbs down.

Wow, is that the way to encourage someone new to make another post?

  • Everything I've looked at has:
    "Shipping:
Does not ship to Australia "

    • Use a forwarder like Shipito

  • Is the macbook air with a shipfowarder worth it? I just need it for basic stuff, no gaming
