  • I'm pretty sure this is $34 in Kmart too - at least my local one, Marrickville NSW - since I've been thinking my son (though too young) would love the moving pistons.

$35 at Kmart p1owz0r - plus you're supporting an Australian regional business when you support us :-)

Pretty sure all the people that work at Kmart Australia are Australians.

        • True so are all of our employees. The difference is that we purchase in Australia and being 100 percent Australian owned our profits stay in Australia.

Are you manufacturing these here ?

        • No LEGO manufactures LEGO but we are 100 percent Australian owned.

        • No LEGO manufactures LEGO but we are 100 percent Australian owned.

Just about nothing is made here.

Kmart is owned by this mob. They are Australian too. The whole "profits stay in Australia" means you are paying overpaid fat cats here instead of fat cats (or thinner cats) overseas. In simple terms. Unproductive retail jobs in this country are shrinking and will continue to shrink as times get tougher. This, again, is due to the overpaid fat cats making this so. Asking the 'battler' to keep jobs in Australia is an absolute joke when local policies don't reflect that sentiment one bit. More propaganda by the elite.

I see absolutely no benefit paying Australian taxes versus overseas ones, in any case. Though in this case, both might be 'Australian', except one is publically listed and has far too much retail power. The 'too much power' argument might be the better argument instead of faux sentiment about local jobs and keeping them here when in this case both are 'Australian'. Not that I think it matters one bit in the scheme of things (every company puts money and investments where it gets the most gains or generates the most profit for managers, with absolute disregard for anything getting in the way of profits, local jobs included).

        • TL;DR - lower price wins. = this deal.

    • KMart is $35 online.

      • It does not include shipping I think.

  • This isn't even 20% off. Not really a deal IMO. You can easily get that at Target or Myer.
