Kathmandu Free Shipping Code Orders under $100

390
KMDWS14

While shopping in store today for an item that was out of stock, the sales rep suggest I order online, and handed me a coupon listing the code WMDWS14 to get free shipping on item under $100. (Already free for over $100.)

It wasn't clear if this only applied to items out of stock in store, although the web site didn't seem to ask this. Good luck.

Thanks! I wanted one of their online only deals but then didn't order since it was under $100.

Tried the code, and it worked.

Somewhat off-topic and I apologise, but does anyone know of a website/store that isn't as pricey as Kathmandu? I need a good quality sleeping bag and even with the discount on their site Kathmandu is still a bit over-budget for what I want to spend. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Try Anaconda. I got a quality sleeping bag recently at a great price. Just check the thickness/warmth rating as the warmer the more expensive.

It depends on what you are after.
Generally the more expensive bags are lighter and pack smaller for the equivalent temperature rating. Not a big issue if you are car camping. If you are hiking perhaps look overseas as everything seems to be more expensive in Australia.

You could try Amazon or sierratradingpost. sierratradingpost have a limited selection of bags available (especially since they don't ship marmont to Australia), also add $50-$60 for shipping.

I'm heading over to Africa so something lightweight with a mid-range warmth rating is definitely preferable.
I'll have a browse on Anaconda and if no success there, I'll give the two international sites you mentioned a go.
Thanks to both of you for the feedback :)

Mountain Designs has equivalent gear, usually cheaper.

I've done some multi day hikes during the colder months here in VIC, found Vango brand of gear to be really good.

It's made in UK, however sold on ebay from… search for 'vango sleeping bag' and select 'item in Australia only' to get legitimate Aussie stores with good feedback.

They pack down to around the size of between a tissue box and a shoe box. Really warm and light as well.

I recommend Snugpak Softie's, almost every grunt in the army has bought one (for good reason.)
