Event Cinemas (Cine Buzz) Changes

Worth noting as of today (July 1st) the Cinebuzz program has had some changes, for those buying screen savers or Telstra Thanks tickets the big thing to note is you now only get a reduced 50 Points.

The redemption for standard tickets has been lowered from 1000 points for everyone and 800 points for Students to 600 points for everybody.

Online bookings get a bonus 25 points, however this does not apply to Telstra tickets. Also you no longer get extra points for 3D sessions.

Cine Buzz VIP members will no longer receive 25% more points

    Does this affect getting points for other discount tickets?

    If you're not getting points for 3d, why are we still paying more.

    I don't care for extra points for booking online. Take away the booking fee.

    They made it better to get a free ticket all while cutting down on the bonus and points you'd normally get, the old way.

    Sounds like it just balances out.

    Wish my points wouldnt expire.

      I will be worse off with these changes most definitely as a VIP/Student member. In regards to points for other discounted tickets you would have to get Event to clarify, the website only mentions screen savers and Telstra but this was at the bottom of the email I received.

      Reduced numbers of points will be applied for ticket purchases using screensavers and other permanent discount admissions such as Telstra tickets

    I have a VIP card and generally book tickets thru telstra. Much worse off.

    They seem to have changed it again, now the site advises 75 points for screen savers, 100 if in VMax/surcharge paid.
