Any cards better than 28 Degrees --> For travelling

Hi

I got Wizard card when it first came out which later changed into 28 Degrees card. Over time, it slowly stripped away the pros of this card. Anyone knows of a better card to move on to? I use this card mostly for offshore transactions or buying from online shop based offshore.

28Degrees used to be really good rates, not sure now tho

Mostly going to Asia but do sometimes buy stuff from US/UK

Any suggestions appreciated. :_

  • It's still good for buying stuff, just not cash withdrawals. I think the Citibank Plus debit card is the one to get for cash withdrawals (I really must get one of these myself…).

  • +2

What's wrong with the 28 Degrees Mastercard exchange rate? It's still the same (best) rate as before. I don't see how any of the pros of the card have been removed, except for the cash withdrawal fee, which can easily be avoided by using a Citibank Plus Visa Debit to withdraw cash.

  • Does the cash withdrawal fee with 28 Degrees apply if your account is in positive? IE: Withdrawing your own cash and not from the available credit balance?

Update - Ignore me…I found the answer

Will I be charged a cash advance fee if my card has a positive balance?
Yes, you will still be charged a cash advance fee if you withdraw cash from your 28 Degrees MasterCard even if the card has a positive credit balance. We do not recommend that you load your card into credit as this is not the intended purpose of the card.

    • yeah, they changed on jan 1st this year. Made that card so crap :(
