    The ingame server browser is broken but there are still servers! Server list here! Lag doesn't seem to be an issue with international servers :)

      I currently run a 24 slot Ship server in Australia, and I'm trying to figure out a way to keep it running cheaply enough to run indefinitely.

      I'll try harder if people are actually interested in playing. :P

      Edit: For those that are curious, you can't run it on a Linux machine because the binaries for the dedicated server are broken, but you can run it on Windows. The only problem is a cheap enough host for a Windows box with enough RAM, at a VPS provider that will allow gaming. :)

        I run various game servers too, but they are just for my friends and myself (TS, Minecraft, 7DTD, CS:GO and a few others). You're not wrong - it can be expensive! Really, the best thing to do would be to set up a donation link or something.

        We really need OzBargain Game Servers! :P

          An Azure "small VM", which is a 1.6GHz CPU with 1.75GB/RAM, is $52 a month. That's not cheap. I'm looking at slipstreaming VirtIO drivers into a Windows ISO so I can stand a box up on a KVM host somewhere with more RAM than that for considerably less than half the cost.

          Plus Azure doesn't even have any Australian DCs (yet).
