It's back! Belgravia 2012 Gewürztraminer @ $90 case ($7.50/bottle) plus $9 shipping! 94 points from James Halliday. A lovely drop, bought a case of this last time. Currently priced at $18.99/bottle at Cracka Wines and $19.99/bottle at Grays. Trophy at Cowra Wine Show. 2010 vintage described by James Halliday as having 'more varietal fragrance than any other Gewürztraminer tasted for years'. Halliday review for 2012 vintage 'Light straw-green; the exemplary varietal character on the bouquet and palate alike; there are rose petal, musk, ginger and Turkish Delight aromas and flavours, yet the wine avoids heavy phenolic notes.'

    That tasting note that you have described (having 'more varietal fragrance than any other Gewürztraminer tasted for years') is for the 2010.

    His 2012 review says:

    Light straw-green; has exemplary varietal character on the bouquet and palate alike; there are rose petal, musk, ginger and Turkish delight aromas and flavours, yet the wine avoids heavy phenolic notes.

    Rated 94 by JH and has a Drink By of 2020.

    For those unsure about this style of wine - the 3 previous ratings from JH mentioned that it's great with Chinese food.
