got email from JBHF about $49 Chromecast - almost bought but after searching ozb found that it isnt good price.
further research, find out about Tronsmart T1000.
I understand the differences between casting and mirroring, both have advantage and disadvantg.
Basically, what i want:
* Able to mirror whatever i have on my android, iphone, and PC (no mac at home) this is to show photos stored internally on my phones or pc on my TV.
* Able to cast movies from android, iphone, and PC. This is to play videos (store internally on phone or on my NAS) and i still can use my phone
all those are possible using Tronsmart T1000, i believe.
BUT, im not sure if i already have all the tools and devices required to do all without Tronsmart T1000.
So, what i have now:
* LG TV smart, with built in plex player, youtube player, internet browser, etc. this is 2012 TV so pretty nice.
* Synology NAS with plex server.
so yes i can play movies stored on the NAS on my TV via plex, but not sure about two my requirements above (casting and mirroring). i know i can "send" youtube from android to TV, but dont know about videos and photos.
anyone can comment? thanks
