    mrs?

I'd just buy a european GPS when you get there. Roaming fees will be extortionate.

    • Typo sorry

  • Agree, just buy a local SIM card when you get there.

All you need to do is ensure your phone is unlocked before you head over.

  • Vodafone Red Roaming $5 per day to roam and use your phone like you do in Australia.
    Available in 47 countries: http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/international-roaming?li…

  • This simcard is the best. Used it for 5 months all over Eastern Europe.

    • $90 per GB of data….surely you can do better then this.

      • It's great for ad hoc usage. If you keep your data usage down it can be a very inexpensive option.

  • Think i will go with a local sim, i will be using a fair bit of internet

  • I got a Ireland Vodafone prepaid SIM card from eBay (cheapest I can found $7), recharge on Vodafone.ie and subscript to RED roaming. All Europe €2.99 per day give you 100MB. No charge if you don't use anything for the day.
Recharge €30 give you 100 free international minutes you can use while roaming as well.

  • A local Lebara (eg Lebara France sim when you are in France, Lebara Spain sim when you are in Spain) is good value for calls and data if you stay in a country long enough.

    • Eg Lebara France
      Sim 5eur
All in one 9,99eur for 240 min of calls and 1g internet.
      Credit lasts 30days
