Hey everyone just wondering what sim to use on my euro trip?
will need it for calls and internet (will be using google maps a fair bit as i will be driving and need to know where to go)

Agree, just buy a local SIM card when you get there.
All you need to do is ensure your phone is unlocked before you head over.

Don't think so. Only if you roam outside of the 47 eligible countries, then you will be charged $1 for calls/data. It's called $5 roaming for a reason.

It's great for ad hoc usage. If you keep your data usage down it can be a very inexpensive option.

I got a Ireland Vodafone prepaid SIM card from eBay (cheapest I can found $7), recharge on Vodafone.ie and subscript to RED roaming. All Europe €2.99 per day give you 100MB. No charge if you don't use anything for the day.
Recharge €30 give you 100 free international minutes you can use while roaming as well.A local Lebara (eg Lebara France sim when you are in France, Lebara Spain sim when you are in Spain) is good value for calls and data if you stay in a country long enough.

I'd just buy a european GPS when you get there. Roaming fees will be extortionate.
