Comments

  • StarFox and Zelda for me. Lots of these games are slated for 2015 though and have no direction at all yet (such as StarFox) meaning we may not even see them in that year at all.

    • Must be coming, you can pre order it already lol Unless that's a big mistake by retailers

      • Yeah they are coming for sure. We just have no idea what kind of game StarFox will be yet according to the games head dev.

        • Yeah true.

      • +3

When the Wii U came out 2 years ago you could pre-order The Legend of Zelda with an estimated release year of 2013.

Retailers don't give a dam. Scumbag ebgames.

        • And JbHIFI

        • +1

I don't know what's worse: these retailers offering pre-orders for games that are only half-finished, or the people that actually give them the money for a pre-order.
The earliest you should pre-order anything is when they can actually tell you a release date.

        • @Prizm:
Retailers are at fault. They offered a pre-order for a game that had not been announced let alone started and gave a false release year for that game in order to coax people into giving them money that they would hold onto and benefit from without the customer receiving any advantage to having given them money. In fact, the customer actually loses interest they would have earnt over the 3+ years the game was in development that a bank would of paid them for holding their money all because the retailer falsely advertised a product.

        • +2

@heywes: I don't understand why you'd pre-order at all - unless there was some amazing pre-order bonus, or some sort of Dick Smith-esque discount. The retailer just laughs all the way to the bank to make interest off your pre-order dosh. Just buy a game on release day - they aren't going to sell out.

    • Shiggy did mention at E3 that they wanted StarFox, desperately, for 2015, and were willing to outsource some of the development process to make this possible.

  • +1

Zelda with the updated graphics and Mario Party with the new control possibilities looking forward to.. Just really hope they can implement some DLC for Mario Kart 8… Battle Mode was the only let down in such an awesome game. Like the Cups they should have had the original battle tracks (specifically 64) returned..

Still hope Wii U can get up there with sales, don't want them to go the same way as Sega

    • +1

Apparently Mario kart will get an added Mercedes kart soon.

  • For me:

    1. The Legend of Zelda
    2. Super Smash Bros
    3. Mario Party 10
    4. Splatoon
    5. StarFox
    6. Yoshi's Wooly World
    7. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
  • I'm after
    Super Smash
    Watch Dogs
    Human Element
    The Legend of Zelda

    • It's nice to know I'm not the only one waiting for Watch Dogs on Wii U.

      • +1

I wouldn't mind playing Watch Dogs someday. If it's cheap enough we'll be the three people online on it :D

      • That's one im really looking forward to. Also hopefully it will be made even better since other versions can show flaws.

      • +1

Yeah the story is pretttttty shiiit, the gameplay is ok, but it doesnt really make up for it. Its kinda like the first Assasins creed, hasnt found its bearings yet.

        • I think using watch dogs on the gamepad will make it better and unique

  • Yeah, games.

    The Legend of Zelda-2015

    Xenoblade chronicles X-2015

    Yoshi's woolly world-2015
    StarFox

    Super Smash Brothers-2014
    Splatoon-2015
    Bayonetta 2-2014
    Captain Toad: Treasure tracker-2014

    Hyrule Warriors-2014

    Human Element-2015

    AMiibo Figurines-2014
Wii U GameCube style Super Smash Controllers-2014

    • Also SteamWorld Dig. I am so hanging for that on my Wii U. Still upset it isn't out yet. Along with 3-4 other indie titles that just look awesome.

      • Picked it up cheap on PS Plus, not that good tbh.

        • SteamWorld Dig? It looks fun. Simple game. Break stuff. Gather resources. Kill simple mobs.
Its something I can sink time into.
I would like an open world game to do that in as well. Something I can play mindlessly. Sadly nothing like that on the Wii U yet.
Come on Nintendo, go talk to Notch, you acknowledge Minecraft would be a good fit, Notch acknowledges and says he would like it on the Wii U. Just go and talk to each other! I need a third copy of it!

        • @heywes:

Looking forward to my free copy on the Vita (crossbuy) but also the pimped out PS4 version. There's no reason for it not being on the WiiU, it's crazy.

        • @Where's_That_Cake:

Your not wrong. Minecraft would be awesome on it. Though Notch and Nintendo have admitted this.

Enjoying the PS4 & Vita? I cannot justify it myself. Whats it like for you? My cousin and mate a little disappointed, another cousin is content enough.
Crossbuy is interesting but, its just not tempting enough for fork out over $700 for both consoles -_-

        • @heywes:

I'm loving it, had Vita since launch and it's the best console I've had in years tbh. PS4 has had a fair bit of use but my Vita backlog keeps me coming back.

        • @Where's_That_Cake:

Hmm, interesting. So the Vita passed its "I lack game phase" like the 3DS did then? I have seen a few released but most looked like dull fps or adventure games with no soul.
Though it does have some good looking RPGs I wouldn't mind playing, but so does the 3DS and I really need to buy those as well.

        • @heywes: The range of RPG and JRPG on Vita is excellent. Also it has actually benefited in a way from the lack of Monster Hunter by getting a pile of great hunter games. Its by far my most used console.

        • @Where's_That_Cake:

Interesting. I like hunter games. But Monster Hunter is too addictive. I look forward to MH4, wish it was out now :(

    • yoshi
    • splatoon
    • bayonetta 2 (includes 1)
    • captain toad
    • gamecube controller (pending on compatibility)

I bought the Wii U knowing it'll mostly be for first party titles. The rest are franchises I'm not terribly interested in or will wait for reviews.

  • *Mario Party 10
    *Captain Toad
*Smash Bros so pumped and would love to see crossplay between Wii U and the 3DS/2Ds
    *Yoshi's Woolly World looks interesting
*Splatoon looks very interesting would love to play a demo to get a feel for the game.

That's mainly it never branched out to the Starfox and Zelda series which is something I must do want to get my hands on some origin Zelda games

  • Smash Bros all the way, but I'm quite excited for Splatoon. Hopefully it's not 90 dollars.

And obviously Zelda and Starfox. Goes without saying.

The recent characters for Smash make me feel bad that I didn't finish the newest Fire Emblem.

  • I think smash will come out bundled with a gamecube controller so it will prob be $99

    • Isn't there going to be a bundle like that in NA?

      • Yeah.

  • Also, does anyone know if we get Bayonetta 1 on a disc like in North America or if we get a download code?

    • Think it will be a download version but not 100% sure

      • Good, didn't want to get a hard drive just yet.

  • +2

    My list is huge

The Legend of Zelda - Reason why I live lol
Kirby and the rainbow curse - day 1
Xenoblade chronicles X - If I have the time but yes
    Mario Party 10 - Yes
    Yoshi's woolly world - Day 1
    StarFox - Day 1
Super Smash Brothers- 3ds oct 2nd to practice
    Splatoon- day 1
    Bayonetta 2- day 1
Captain Toad: Treasure tracker- day 1
    Mario Maker 2015 - day 1
Sonic Boom: Rise of the Lyric- when price drops
Hyrule Warriors- day 1 (hopefully treasure box)
Devil's Third -2014 - when cheaper as doesnt look fantastic
Mario vs Donkey Kong- yes eventually
AMiibo Figurines- Will make me go broke as ill buy them all
Wii U GameCube style Super Smash Controllers- a must for smash

    • And people say I'm a Nintendo Fanboy! D:

To be srs for a second, I worry for Nintendo with the AMiibo things; copying Activision may be a sound financial decision, but it usually leads to the sucking out of the soul. Skylanders are akin to satan. I may get one, just because Reggie said it will level up to counter your playing style, which sounds epic.

< Actually thinks Devil's Third looks good because tongue-in-cheek action games are the best action games.

      • Amiibo is meant to unlock additional content over a variety of games. If this is the case it holds a higher value then a single skylander especially given that a single skylander can have multiple models.

I want a couple just because they look cool, but pricing is a big factor and the current rumored pricing is high.

And everyone calls you a Fanboi Frank cause you go a little crazy when you post and people can't tell when your sarcastic, serious or just being Frank.

        • Neither can I, quite honestly. But it's safe to say that sarcasm is a vast majority of the things I say.

Judging from how expensive their online store is, I'm assuming that the Amiibo things will be hellishly expensive.

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

Yeah I am afraid of that.

        • @heywes: Word is Super smash will release on Nov 21st and be packaged with an Amiibo figure

        • @TRENT86:

Where did you hear that? I have heard nothing at all on SSBU any where. No one has any information in regards to its launch.

However, Nintendo did just license a toy company to make figures and they look pretty awesome. Look forward to those.

        • @zelda707:

          cheers mate.
          Odd source. Random un-named employee.

        • @zelda707: Yeah even though that the site is American I'm sure we will be offered the same deal bundled with Amiibo. I have heard it other places too about the bundle. And we all know Nintendo will release it before holiday season

  • On a side note: The delay of Toad Treasure Tracker is very upsetting. US still get it at the same time but not EU/AU/NZ. What the hell man.

    • Yeah date has been changed to Jan 2015

  • The Legend of Zelda U
    Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshi's Woolly World (Title really needs to drop the 2nd L!)
    Starfox
    Super Smash Brother
    Splatoon
    Bayonetta 2
    Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

    for me!

  • Watch dogs will be released 21st Nov

    • Moved from before Mario Kart to before Smash, good job Ubi.

      • +1

Launch time around the same as Smash Bros and 130+ days after every other version.

Its Nintendo fans fault it didn't sell well.

        • +1

Don't look at me, I was always gunna get it on Wii-U.

What? People told me it was better on next gen!

          ULTIMATE TROLL-FACE

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

          Current Gen*

I got it for PC. I can confirm that on PC it was much better then any gen.

Looks so dam (profanity) awesome. Very pretty.

New PC gets here soon, then I will try it out in 4k.

        • @heywes:

          Better on PC

Wow, what a surprise, that's unlike every single game ever for the PC version to be the best (Obvious sarcasm is obvious)

I heard it was pretty abysmal if you had the wrong graphics card (in week 1. This has almost inevitably been patched by now). Similar thing with Dark Souls 2. Better hop on Steam Reviews and Metacritic and give it a downvote and a 0! Nice one, PC gamers lol.

And next-gen* current gen is still PS3 and Xbox360, because they're the only ones with current games (See: Actual games)

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

And next-gen* current gen is still PS3 and Xbox360, because they're the only ones with current games (See: Actual games)

Heavily disagree. Its incorrect. They are the previous gen.

Your not wrong about them being the only one with games, but, that doesn't make them current gen any longer. Just means Sony and MS are being lazy with game releases. But oh well, you can have that perspective, no worries.

Game ran fine on my 570. As long as I didn't try to jack the setting to a ridiculous point that I knew my card and cpu couldn't handle. But even un-maxed the game looked gorgeous.

Good old Metacritic negative spam. This is of benefit to society.

        • @heywes: Hey, I believe you guys now. I actually like Destiny (But it might be because 2014 is a year of videogame famine and I'll take what I can get) and metacrtic is between 3.5 and 6.0 between the consoles, and even the reviewer score is only 75. And I think that's a bit unfair.

However, I am still pissed at Bungie for putting a limit on Crucible marks you can earn per week (Assuming it wasn't Activision who pitched the idea/forced it on them)

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

Yes the famine has been painful. Starting what, the 27th of this month? The drought ends and when it rains it poors.

God dammit Nintendo. You had one job, release games. Not flood us with everything at once. Staggered releases would of been nice Nintendo, Staggered Releases!

Destiny for PC would be my preference. The limit sounds dumb, limits are for micro-transaction games you don't pay for, not for games that you pay to purchase. What rubbish.

        • @heywes: Yeah, and it's stupid that you can't even BUY PAST the 'paywall'. Nope. You're just stuck. Resets weekly for something you can max in 4 hours. GG Bungie. Destiny for PC is rumoured for March next year though, and I would recommend it for NOW, but not for March next year which is around when ZELDA COMES OUT HNNG.

Staggered releases? Here have Smash Brothers, here have Zelda Hyrule Warriors, here have Fantasy life, AMIIBOS, SPLATOON, BAYONETTA, TAKE IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!

Then it's gunna go dry around April again. :c But at least I'll have like 18 games on my wii-u lol.

        • @FrankMcFuzz:

Yeah. All the monies gone in a few months, but lots of games, which is nice.
