Just been on the Big W website and they have a huge amount of games on sale through the online store. Most of the next gen games are available for $64 which is a steal compared to the prices JB and EB are asking.

Edit: Items now have to be Put on Layby until November 3. Guess this is ok for Christmas shopping

  • Anything in particular?

    • Xbox One plus NFS $498 save $116

Had other console bundles like PS4 plus WD and Assassins for $220 off original price but that's out of stock at the moment.

If it's an online sale, you should probably link to the sale on their website rather than a screenshot :)

      Cheers.

Done now. Didn't know the screenshot got rid of the link.

From what I see, the deals arent really that good. Most of those you could already get from Ozgameshop or Dungeon Crawl

I've always had bad experience with those places. Big W are based in Australia and therefore if you have any issues you don't have to ship back to the UK.

I've ordered dozens of things from zavvi/thehut & ozgameshop and never had a single problem.

But hey, personal preference and all.

Actually, the games that come from Zavvi and Ozgameshop have been sealed, where the games in Australia I rarely if ever get sealed.

Haven't returned a game to the UK once in 4 years.

Ordered a few games from OzGameshop in early November knowing I would get them before I went UK mid December. By the day I left or the UK only 1/3 of the games had arrived and the case was cracked. The other two arrived 5 days later and sat in my letter box until I arranged someone to grab them for me.

        • ozgameshop is crap avoid them.

        • zavvi/thehut = never again

64$ is ok but is not a steal considering dicksmith sell them around 60s-50s when are just released…

  • I usually get my games I'm interested in day one from Target btw. On top of a members discount they do the cheapest price. Got Watch Dogs $60 on release ($64 for normal) and saved $39 on what EB were offering. I believe Big W are doing $64 price tags on new release games too now. Much cheaper than JB and EB now though.

  • all the Wii U games are out of stock

    • yeah, last week they still had mario kart 8 and 3d world, guess then ran out :(

      • You can get them in-store for the same price ($58). Not all stores have stock, but some do. A store in Perth had about 3 copies of Mario 3D World on the shelf today.

  • Thinking of getting some of the cheap $9 powerwave wiimotes for my wii u, anyone had any experience with them. they look pretty dodgy.

    • i hear third party wii mote are pretty bad. might as well pay the extra $$ and get the legit stuff.

  • Nothing in the 3DS department (or at least it's not working).

  • Love how the Xbox One links are broken on their site…

EDIT: Nevermind, their search works :)

EDIT 2: I add an item to the cart, and it forces the option to Layby (adding $2). Can anyone confirm they have the same behaviour? Seems everything is "In stock for online layby".

  • This was a good deal if anyone has a Vita https://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/p…

  • +1

Yes, they changed the website to layby everything due to the toy sale. Found this out when trying to buy something online last week. Didn't want to wait until December to receive it.

edit: Supposed to be a reply to gokhanh

  • Please change title to reflect that layby is required for the items on sale online and collection cannot be made before November 3rd.
