Is Warehouse1 doing it ethically?

Hi,

I've got issue after buying an epson eb1761w from Warehouse1.
I've called and confirm over the phone that they have in stock and website shows in stock and will take couple of days to arrive. So it is good because I need it for next weekend seminar.

I bought it and got confirmation below:
Order was received 2/07/2014 3:51 PM
Viewed 3/07/2014 6:28 PM
In process 3/07/2014 9:01 PM
Ready for dispatch 3/07/2014 9:01 PM
Paid 2/07/2014 3:51 PM

So I called today to follow up when are they going to send the item and no idea need to call me back.
Then no one call me back so I call again around 4pm to being told that NO STOCK and we can refund the money. He was so quick to offer me refund.
So I said no, I can wait but let me know can you get it. He said so far no stock and no ETA. Still waiting from the supplier to get back to us.
Okay, I can wait but please get back to me ASAP.

I sent email to the seller to explain my concern.
Website still shows "in stock" if no stock then put no stock.
You quickly offer refund because the price is going up?
Still waiting for stock because 1-3 days fast delivery when in stock and I called already to confirmed in stock and website still shows in stock.
Sent confirmation "Ready to dispatch" but how come no stock when you are ready to dispatch?

The issue is:
The price on their website is going up and it show "In Stock".

I hope this new price is not the reason why they just want to offer me refund.

What can I do further with this Warehouse1?

  • they offered you a refund…you cant do anything else except wait for it to be shipped

  • Now the truth is coming out.
    First they just refund me automatically.
    Two they excused now is the price was wrong and actually they have in stock but they don't want to make a lost.

    I already told him that I've called, price ok, the guy that I spoke didn't mention any wrong price, stock no issue at all but in the end just quickly rush off apology, the price was wrong and we have the term and condition to cancel it.

    Seller supposed to be mentioned this on my first conversation and then when I follow up should say apology a wrong price but the feedback that I've received was NO stock and not wrong price.

    The different price $80 or less than 10% so I don't think they lose a lot of money.
    They need to update their act to update the system or price correctly.

    Not happy with this company.
