  • not that cheap

i bought some at $10 and $19 ($10 needed $30 of groceries though)

  • Got my mum a iPad air (wifi only) a couple of weeks back. She has a fairly low data plan on her phone so looking at an alternative. Is this the way to go? Any other suggestions?

    • Get a better data plan on your phone. It usually works out much cheaper.

    • +1

i won't go for anything that more than $10/1Gb/month.

  • These were good value when they include 2 to 3 Gigs of data for $10 to $29 on sale for using for one month for the included data. Then shifting to Aldi or other Telstra reseller could be a better option. Could also look into a cheap online unlock for more options.

    • I just had a look at Aldi. Certainly not 'cheap' for data by any means.

    • It's very easy to unlock these for free. Done it multiple times.

    • Affirmative, unlock, then perhaps go for 15*500 meg sessions [$1] ea, on $2days ..

Might be less hassle just using the above fr a phone; personal hotspot.

  • prepaid Elite (as mentioned) is 3G…. If you are looking for a 4G model - the other model is better and worth the $99 (white)

    • Decent hardware, just service prohibitively costly @$15/1G,10d.

  • Which are the details/specs of the modem. I would like to use it overseas.
