Rules for Car Decals / Stickers

Does anyone know whether it is actually legal to place decals / stickers / etc on the side windows or rear windows of the car?

Are there any rules / laws with regards to this?

  • There would more than likely be rules dictating what you can't have included, ie making out you're someone that you're not ….. police, security, etc, along with anything that incites hatred ie, racism, etc. And I'm guessing you couldn't have something too offensive.

Content aside, as long as it doesn't obscure your vision, I don't see that there would be a problem.

If this could pass the rules I think you can put on whatever you have in mind

Think of a food van, fully enclosed rear of the drivers door and at the back. As long as you have "wing" mirrors and can see you can use as many stickers as you like to cover windows rear of the drivers door.

  • Quite often the full window stickers will have small holes to allow for visibility looking out (but without disturbing the visual impact)
