DickSmith Not Sending Pioneer Headphones SEMJ511W

HiI,

A bit pissed off with Dicksmith, I bought the pioneer headphones as saw the deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150790

I received email from dicksmith stating that order has not been delivered due to no stock and replacement will be send.

They will be sending a Philips citiscape shibuya SHL5205WT by friday 11th , unless I cancel order…
They say refer to claus 4 of terms and conditions agreed when purchased.
The philips ones looks is not appealing for me…..and saw some reviews that are not good quality….

Any thoughts.? Anyone got same email?

    I think you will find more responsive audience by commenting within the deal. I see a lot of ppl have been offered those headphones, I haven't got the email as yet.

    From the reviews it seems like a favourable result especially considering how unhappy many buyers that did receive the pioneer ones.

    At the end of the day if u dont want the substitute take up their offer of a refund.

    I purchased these as well an I noticed the ones they are sending in replacement are worth twice as much as the old ones, I should have pushed more. Considering it was only $10 inc post its a great buy.

    I got the same email and after some research the replacements (SHL5205WT) look like a better build quality and look like they would be more comfortable. They seem to be reviewed pretty well for the few reviews that I could find.

    I'm not cancelling the order for 4 that I placed.

    I prefer the replacement. The RRP is $79.95 on the Philips website and they were posted as a deal previously : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/135023 Not bad for $10 including delivery, and some recipients may have paid only $8.

    I've been offered with this replacement SHL5205BL.

    Are these offers being made via eBay msg or via email? I Dont seem to have got either? If u queried your order what email address did u send your query to? I'd be keen on accepting the substitute but as I said no correspondence has been received at all :(

    Make sure if you are not happy, you give them NEGATIVE feedback. Don't give them neutral.

    Just got the replacement headphones, didn't even see the email till after they shipped it.
    Compared to my ATesw9, they suck… sound muffled and dull in comparison. But if you have nothing to compare it to, they sound ok I guess. You can't really complain for $10, but I'm no audiophile and difference is like night and day :(

      Ouch. Still haven't seen mine or heard from Dick. Are they at least comfortable? Might be ok for playing games.
