Looks to be a pretty good price if you're in the market for one of these, although the USA warranty may be a concern for some.

  • refurb + USA + price too good to be true ?
    Reaching for my bargepole now.

The price isn't too good to be true, the seller has great feedback and the deal can be found on the ebay homepage as an "ebay deal".

There have been great deals recently under the same conditions for the 10" pro model, just $299 USD

Glad to see surfaces entering the 12.2 - 14 " space, had to happen.

  • Wow considering the new model was on here for a thousand bucks only yesterday

    • Not really the same. This deal is for the refurbished Galaxy Tab Pro, for about AU$400 from eBay. The other deal was for a brand new Galaxy Note Pro plus accessories, for about $760, from Kogan. The difference isn't that huge when you put it into perspective. $360 more for a brand new tablet with an active digitiser with three first party accessories from a (relatively) more reputable seller.

  • Good find, OP!

  • Anyone uses these? Any real world idea of battery life?
Yeah I'm really tempted. I'm a musician and use a Nexus 7 for reading my music, but this would be a lot better, might even be able to squeeze 2 pages on the one screen.

tempted…so tempted…HURRY UP and sell out already so i can start the healing process…

    • LMAO

  • Wow… this is the same one that JB-HiFi sells for $1098!
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-tablets/tablets/samsung/…

    • Not quite, no. That's a NotePro. This is a TabPro. They should be around the same price prior to screwed up Aussie price conversion, but JB don't carry the TabPro as of yet so you can't quite compare.

      • Oh I see, thanks I didn't notice that.
        What is the difference though?
The specs are the same as per GSMarena: www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6212&idPhone2=6048

Only difference I can find is that the Note Pro comes with a stylus, is that all?

Yep, just the stylus. It's a bit more than it seems, though. The stylus with a Note requires a special digitiser layer be used in the display instead of what you'd find in the iPad or the Tab models. It's the same tech Wacom use in their graphics design tablets (I think the S-Pen is sourced from Wacom as well). See here for why active digitiser setups are much better than the shitty capacitive styluses used with other tablets (3rd party eBay accessories, that is). So there is a bit of a justification for the price difference… but not a whole lot. You'd only buy the Note if you needed the Stylus (it's in the name, after all).

        • @ProspectiveDarkness:
And because of that $400 for 10in space is pretty good price considering that a Wacom Cintiq 13 costs about $1000. Obviously it is not as well spec-edas the Cintiq, but it is also an Android tablet. For note taking or hobby doodling its fantastic.

I have a Note 3 and I often find myself not carrying a notebook too meetings at work and just take notes with it with the stylus.

I am waiting for a higher spec-ed note 8 to come out to doodle things as I travel around.

        • @blahman:

Yeah, I'm waiting for a decent Windows 8 tablet for note-taking… though I'm still trying to decide if an 8" tablet will have sufficient screen space.

  • Says US $429.99 now.
