Need to read! These are Australian stock with implicit Statutory Warranty - Amazon's isn't.
I'd still take Amazon's warranty over the majority of Australian businesses. After sales service in Australia is severely lacking, Amazon are brilliant.
Agreed, easy to deal with Amazon. They get the concept of customer service.
I've dealt first hand with amazon warranty and find them much better then any local suppliers. They sent a new item without me having to send faulty one back, they even sent it via express. No questions asked and no cost to me.

ATH-M50 are available for around 100 @amazon.
and being Australian stock doesn't qualify dealers to charge the double and amazon's warranty is good no issues.Also there is an upgraded version available ATH-M50x which has a removable cable, but sound is same.
