We've just taken delivery of a delicious new Kenyan peaberry bean which has some absolutely fantastic flavours that we wanted to share with everyone. It's from the Embu region which is just near Mt Kenya, and has a delicious citrus acidity with a tasty hint of Kenyan blackcurrant richness before leading into a nice smooth body with hints of dark chocolate and hazelnut. It's medium bodied and also has a well balanced finish with a dash of that signature Kenyan sweetness that coffee lovers cherish. A bright, fruity black or a well balanced dark choc and hazelnut milk based coffee - the choice is yours, but its stunning either way.

Roasting days for these orders will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. And all remaining Serengeti Blend orders from last weeks offer are being collected by AusPost today, once this has been done we will send your tracking number and notification.

  • Can I clarify - If i order this today, when is it roasted and when is it shipped? Sounds like with the serengeti blend that they sit around for a week. That's valuable drinking time!

      Hi carwashhair, all of our orders are dispatched upon roasting and don't sit around for any longer than a day. Freshness is absolutely paramount to us, hence why we send orders as soon as they're roasted. We do however roast to order as quickly as possible and none of our orders are preroasted.

    Hi guys, placed a Serengeti order on Saturday the 12th of July and I have received nothing all week. Sent a message yesterday on the website and still have not received a reply. PMing you details now.

    I too placed an order on 11th July and have received no coffeee and no communications.

    What's going on. No order and no update. Buyer beware. Look at past safariroast deals and you will see a history of poor communications and late deliveries.

    • You seriously need to check your messages before you neg vote. I have messaged you before and told you about this. But apparently that isn't enough for you?? Im not sure if youre trolling, dont read my replies to you, or both. OK…so I'll say it once more here, your beans have been sent and will be received Monday. Did you get that? I've tried over and over to be nice to you, as my repeat customers will attest to my being both friendly and helpful. Believe it or not I am not at your beckon call and my life does not revolve around people like you. So before you say things about my business practice's look at yourself first.

  • I dont mean to be difficult. I just want my stuff. I saw your messaage earlier that you had replied. But still I have not seen any reply. How did you reply? I have also posted message on your website and havent seen anything. So in this circumstance I see no reply I can only assume something isnt right.

    Please tell me where I can find your earlier replies that despite my best efforts I cannot see. I also havent seen any tracking number that your post indicates I should have as all orders have been shipped today, but I havent received that. What am i to believe?

    Hey mate, it seems quite a few people are concerned about their orders including myself. I understand it's a weekend and that there could be a reasonable explanation but you need to be communicating more promptly including emails being sent when you say they are being sent, especially when orders are taking more than a week and still not being received.

    I think everyone wants you to continue bringing these great deals and it's great business for yourself but these issues need to be rectified.

    Still waiting for my Serengeti, looks like website is down now. No emails from Safariroast.

    • I'm in the same boat. No emails or private messages from them.

  • I also waited a while (without communication) for my order but did receive it during the week last week. Their website makes mention of a serious illness so orders are being delayed, still some communication would be nice for those still waiting. I must say though, I love the taste of the beans, for me they were worth the wait :)

    Add me to the list of unhappy new customers… Ordered on the 11th and haven't received any communication at all. I should've heeded the warnings from the previous posts.

      The problem is that this was promised BEFORE we all ordered last time -
      "Also, just to let everyone know we've just implemented a step by step notification system to let you know via email both when we've roasted your order and also your tracking details. This is thanks to some very useful feedback we've received from customers and will further improve the customer service we can provide."

      This was the reason I (and probably others) ignored previous bad feedback and ordered.

      I'm sure the coffee is coming, and I'm hoping it'll be great, but a little honesty goes a long way in keeping customers happy.

  • Will be putting in a Paypal dispute if I don't receive anything tomorrow. No beans have arrived and no tracking number as promised almost a week ago.

  • I have received an email from Larry about my Serengeti order.

    He said that he has been in hospital with a serious heart issue, so all is forgiven.

    I now have a tracking number, and the beans are on the way.

    • I got the same email. Beans were delivered this morning. They make a good cuppa.

  • no beans nor a tracking number on my side, order placed over a week ago. I got the email about being in hospital, but still wonder why my order appears to be the exception to everyone else's experiences above.

    • so at this point I'm going to have to neg this deal. Appears that I'm having the same experience as Brisneylander and Bundy23, no shipping email, no details, no coffee when others have received theirs, (when promised these would be here by Monday) and no response by email. I definitely hope Larry is ok, but would have thought my coffee was sent out at the same time as the other people above.

      • Same here, ordered on the 19th. No email, no tracking number - no beans. Sent an email yesterday, no reply to that either. I see there is a note on the website "Due to serious personal health issues, there is a current delay in roasting".

        • This is strange. My beans just arrived. Roast date was 28/7/14. So it appears for me that Larry has come good, but still a bit strange that he promised beans would be here monday, and that is when they were roasted. Larry, if you're reading this, I think you may need to look at employing someone or getting someone to help you with the communication side of things, as currently shipping emails aren't getting sent out, nor emails responded to. I am happy to continue supporting you as I am sure others will too, if we can just get the communication issues sorted. I will revoke the neg in good faith.

        • Just to close the loop on this one - beans arrived today (1.15kg rather than 1kg - bonus!) and also received an apology email today as well.

  • only got one bag (I ordered two) Ive now started an paypal claim.
    Should also add that I ordered a month ago $49.90 only one bag received claim in being processed now
