Best Suburb for First Home Buyer considering MONEY in South West, South, or South East of Brisbane?

Fellow Bargainers,

Please advise from your knowledge or experience which suburb should I look to buy my House.

Budget is $350K-$400K.

I am really interested in getting first home buyer grant $15000.

Should I go for House and Land Package or ready to move in?

Thanks

try posting at this property investing forum instead
you should get alot more response.
Id go through past posts as well as QLD / Brissy as there should be alot of posts
as its pretty hot market up there at the moment

    • That forum is mostly focused on investment properties but I'm sure they would still have some useful advice for you.

  • If you are planning to buy the house to live in it, rather than as an investment property, I would suggest considering which areas you would be most happy to live in and what type of property $350-$400k will buy in each area.

My pick at the moment would probably be Redbank Plains. A new train line/station is being built there, it's close by to the large development area of Springfield and only about 35-40 minutes drive to the CBD. Collingwood Park is another good option around the same area but closer to the highway and train station (until Redbank Plains line built). This is also the only region on the southside with NBN internet except for Sunnybank (likely out of your budget) and a couple of isolated pockets.
