Looked in Bupa site but most say "some rates may apply"

Even at a bupa preferred provider there will still be a gap. It depends on your cover. Only the top level of extras covers has no gap at a bupa preferred provider.
I was Googling for this info and found one in the CBD called Pacific Smile Dental.
Made a booking for next week for initial visit (examination, scale and clean).
Will provide an update after the visit.
For fillings, the fee the dentist gets from a no-gap arrangement is so low that it can compromise the level of care you get. It forces practices to operate on a low-fee, high-volume model, doing the work quickly and rushing you out so they can move on to the next person on the production line. Would not recommend.
