Details:

3900 FlyBuys points equates to $19.50 in FlyBuys dollars, so the tickets work out to $9.75 each equivalent. A decent alternative to the $10 movie ticket option through Optus, especially considering you use your FlyBuys points and not real cash. On the down side they are physical vouchers only and you have to wait for them to arrive in the post, can't be redeemed and used immediately. You can get the 2 x evouchers to save waiting for them in the post, for 3600 points ($18.00) but these can only be used Mon to Wed.

Terms:

  • Vouchers valid for 12 months from date of issue (refer to expiry date on voucher).
  • Not valid for use after 5pm on a Saturday.
  • Vouchers will be mailed directly to you within 3 weeks of redeeming.

    seems like a lot of effort to save 0.25$ on each ticket.. but as a true ozb, any any saving is a good saving. upvoted

      agreed, but i think most people buy the tickets an hour or so before actually going to the movies. In this scenario, Optus is much more convenient

    There is also an E-voucher option available, in addition to the Paper tickets! But these are valid only from Mon- Wed movies!

    just go to Event cinemas. At Gardencity Mt Gravatt….I went to day at a rate of $7 each (sunday).
    Save up these points to change to FLYBUY dollars to use at coles.

      Apologies for being cryptic.
      1. The abovementioned coupon showed up on bottom of My Coles docket receipt, & went straight back into funding groceries on my next visit.
      2. Linked Coke rewards scheme: 95 token points exchange for 1Hoyts movie, meaning I may enter as few as 10 label(or 5 Diet) codes to get an e-voucher, potentially for free.

      You can get $10 worth of FlyBuys dollars for 2000 points any time. Use for food, drink, anything really. Best to use on super specials in order to maximise value.
