Malaysian Airlines introducing mandatory self check-in and possibly automated baggage drop

I went to the website to check for my refund process requirement.

Saw this announcement about introducing the mandatory self check in and automated baggage drop.

Honestly, with all that is happening lately, I thought MAS will do more instead of less to patch things up.

Not sure how it works but potentially the level of passenger screening process will be reduced now that the check-in counter is replaced by mandatory web check in or self service check in.

And no one asks for whatever you put in your baggage anymore although I understand there are some more screening inside the custom areas.

  • Are they the only airline doing this? Also this has nothing to do with being shot down…….you are a disgrace making comments like this!

I was just saying….it seems like a counter intuitive thing to do seeing how things have developed.

Plus most airlines have self check-in as complimentary NOT mandatory

Didn't say anything about plane being shot down. But I sure remembered there were fake passports in the MH370 incident.

Guess what? Now that extra layer of security in form of face to face check in has been removed. I am sure you're happy with that dodgy people get it easier now
