ALDI founder Karl Albrecht has died

ALDI (short for Albrecht Discount) is an interesting business, with an interesting history.
Founded by brothers Karl and Theo (who passed away in 2010) it had its roots in post war Germany before spreading globally.
The brothers disagreed over whether to sell cigarettes, leading to them splitting the business into North and South divisions.
It was the South division, controlled by Karl, who opened ALDI in Australia.
