Need some heavy duty hiking boots at a reasonable price. Will probably only wear them once but still a requirement!

Just on MD, colorado has gone out of business, and all their stock has been moved to MD. Very cheap stuff.

Try outlet stores for kathmandu, mountain designs if there are any where you live. Otherwise Amazon.com have some good sales from time to time, as long as you're sure that they'll fit.

  i've had some really bad luck with outlet boots from kathmandu. I bought a pair from the outlet, went for a walk and they lasted less than 4km before breaking :( Another member got more mileage, but still not long. Didn't have any issues with a refund though, so i'll give them credit for that.

    I wouldn't recommend their 'home' brands, but those stores also have more reputable brands on clearance as well.
