Site says free delivery but it also calculates $18.60 when you fill out the postage calculator.

  • Personally I like to stick to the top end Makita gear for all my battery powered tools, but there's no denying that this is a pretty decent bargain.

Also, can pretty much guarantee you won't be able to beat this price. I've spent a lot of time trawling prices for tools over the last twelve months, and Sydney Tools are almost always the cheapest, with their regular prices frequently beating other stores 'sale' prices.

    • So from your experience how would you rate the following manufacturers in terms of quality and longevity and reliability
      Makita
      Dewalt
      Milwaukee
Bosch (blue I think is the tradies one I think)

    • Any examples?

Just paste the entire list here and wait for jv to highlight the ones that aren't deals in bold.

  • tradies prefer the 18V version iirc

Hitachi is my brand of choice

  • Used this drill for a while, it's a pretty nice one.

Hey, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?

    • +3

That's correct. In fact, the correct pronunciation is "Milli-wau-kay".

  • Milwaukee tools are awesome. Also 5 yrs warranty, which is 2 more than Mikita is nice. Not that they really need any. My colleague has had his Mikita for 7 years without any fault!

Note the m12 range whilst more compact has less torque than the m18. The additional compactness is not significant. But the torque losses are.
