Fiji holiday package

Hi fellow oz bargainers,

I am looking for a holiday package from Sydney to Fiji (somewhere in nadi) for the October long weekend with my husband for 3 nights in a minimum 3 stars accommodation. I have looked on flight Centre, Expedia all the big websites but it forecast to cost around $2000.

Any travel websites where I can find cheap deals?

Much appreciation for all your advice

You need flights and accommodation. Adioso is saying Jetstar is the cheapest at $900/pp without bags etc.

Nadi really isn't great (bad beaches), you'd want to travel a bit outside for the good beaches. However, Hotelscombined gives you a good option at the Best Western for $135/nt.

All up you will be paying $2205 (minimum).

The big issues: The flights are way more than average due to peak time. On average, you can get RT flights to Fiji around $500-$600 and as low as $330.

The even bigger issue is that 3 nights in Fiji is way too short. Half of Friday and half of Monday will be spent traveling. That leaves you really with only 2 full days. I'm not bagging Fiji (I've been there twice) but Australia has far superior beaches and the flights should be cheaper. You won't have time to do the more interesting things like the Yasawa Islands.

    My 2 cents.

    Agree with Neil

My 2 cents - extend your trip and spend more.

Last time we went it was for 10 days, start of December at the Naviti Resort. Booked through Flight Centre, all inclusive with flights, transfers, accom, meals, drinks etc. $2,000pp. Without doubt the most relaxing holiday I have ever had as I didnt have to worry about a thing or pay a cent once I got there. (Well except for sunscreen and 2 cocktails as I think they were the only alcoholic beverage not included in the package.

Mmmm really want a Fiji screwdriver now. The best pineapple juice!!!
