Anyone know where I can get a cheap S5? I don't mind if it is second hand but from what I can see on Gumtree\EBAY they are asking more then I can get it for. Best price I can see is about $600 from sites I have never heard of.

ask for folks here at Ozbargain who bought the Ebay $500 S5 if they really need it or not =)You'll never know, there might be a few who were just caught by the impulse to buy it but doesn't necessarily needed it. =)
Ohh $500 is a good price.. kogan runs at $600 so around that price with out the 2 week lead would be OK, but I can't find a retailer that I have heard about with a price like that unless it has $60 shipping..
second had would be fine but ebay\gumtree have there second hand ones about the same amount.. are there any other 2nd had places to check?I can spend the $600 but I think its a bit rich unless i can pick it up in store for that amount without the shipping. I'm in Syd if that helps any one.
I just read the ebay post and that was for a 3G model, didn't even know that existed. I want a 4G model..

I picked up one from the eBay/Kogan Sunday deal the other week, it's grey import if you're interested. I was thinking of upgrading but I've changed my mind and prefer my Xperia. It's still unopened. PM if you're interested.
OOT but why are you choosing Xperia over the S5? genuinely interested.
tbh I've been using Sony since the X1 days then onto X10, Xperia S and as of a few months ago, the Z1, picked it up for a steal. It feels a bit more solid of a phone to me, compared to both the S4 and the S5, they just have too much of a plastic, so the way it feels in the hands is important as I rack up thousands of minute of phone calls and thousands of text a month. Essentially they're pretty similar, granted the S5 has some better internals but for the amount that I use my phone, aesthetics begin to play their part.

when ordering from overseas, keep in mind that there are several variants of the S5 with slight differences in the cellular bands…
