Help with ski trip plan and advice in Perisher or Thredbo in late august/ early sep for 3-5 days!

Hello
Dad and I would like to go skiing in Perisher or Thredbo starting on the 25 of August and going for approx 3-5 days.
Points to note:
a)Have a car that i can use to drive there. Ski tube or not( if we go to perisher)?
b) Don't have any equipment, so have to hire skis, poles, boots and ski jacket and ski pants
c) Need to find accommodation, preferably a private room between my dad and I since he snores quite badly. We have gloves, goggles, beanies.
d) We are beginners/ immediately rated skiers

note: I haven't been to perisher before and the last time i went skiing is about 4 years so have very limited knowledge about areas within Thredbo and Perisher.

If there a good packages we don't mind paying a little bit more.

    Rebel has 50% off on all ski gear. Size are limited so you might have to visit few different stores. I visited 2 stores last week to get gear for boys (8 and 3 years) and myself. Also you might be lucky to find some gear at Aldi as well.

    FYI … I am planning a trip to snowy mountains first week of Sept (around 1st and 2nd)

    i found stayz better for booking self serviced family homes.
