I broke my Samsung Galaxy S4 display

Hi guys,

I dropped my S4 (one too many times) and the screen is not lighting up anymore. There is a hairline fracture on the layer underneath the touchscreen which MAY have been from previous incidents.

The touchscreen is still responsive and I can still snooze my alarm by guessing where it is, and it still vibrates and all. I'm just wondering, what sort of repair costs should I set myself up for?

The screens are $~150-$170 (parts alone) I just broke mine and went searching.
It is relatively easy to do, (Compared to iPhone 4) but I just went and bought a second hand HTC.. as $150-$170 for a screen is kinda ludicrous.

  • Thanks for that info guys!

  • My Galaxy S3 has a damaged digitizer but the glass screen was intact. Device would turn on and ring, but didn't display anything. This was covered under Samsung warranty for repair.
