  • My favourite bean from Manna is Tanzania Peaberry? Do you guys still make this one? I got it in a pack 6months ago but never seen it since.

    • We don't have the Peaberry anymore but we do have a similar Tanzania Burka Estate Grade AAA – Washed. Under single origins on our website ;-)

  • Do these beans work ok with the areopress?

    • Yes indeed. The Brazilian and El Salvador especially should be good with the Aeropress and also great as an espresso or long black

  • How long will they last in these packets?

I am worried as I will be the only one drinking them and won't finish it in time.

Oh and if I order is it possible to get 3 in beans, and 1 already grounded?

    • +1

Hi, Although you can drink the coffee months later it's considered to be at it's freshest for the first few weeks. After this the unique characteristics of the beans start to diminish until you're left with much like the coffee you find on the shelves at the supermarket

Some people choose to freeze unopened packets or share with friends or family.

Unfortunately these deals are for whole bean only and we are unable to offer a grinding service. If you do require your coffee to be ground for a specific brewing method then this can be done but the coffee needs to be purchased through our standard website listings

      • Thanks Rep,

So as for freezing unopened packets of these beans, do you think this would help (not completely stop it) keep it from becoming like the ones on the shelves of the supermarkets?

As soon as I open one, it'd definitely be used within first few weeks. Just worried about unopened packets.

Can I confirm this deal will end on the 9th of September? Will order closer to date for fresher beans as my Aeropress is on its way.

        Regards,

        Jason

          Hi Jason,

There is a possibility that this deal will finish earlier than the 9th but we are regularly running deals here and rotating different coffees for people to try so I can certainly accommodate nearer to your preferred purchase date.

I haven't tried freezing the beans myself so unable to give you my opinion but have been interested to see others doing this and being happy with the results. Might be worth jumping on Google and deciding for yourself if this is an option that would be suitable for you ;-)

          Cheers
          Simon

I have frozen them before (250g bags) and I don't think it impacted the taste much.
But after freezing I could not compare them to the fresh beans so I can't really claim anything. But I made coffee for lots of people and they all commented how good it was.

My method (developed after lots of research on the Internet):
          1. Push air out of the bag (through the valve)
          2. Place sticky tape on the valve
          3. Place bag in freezer
          To defrost:
          1. Move bag from freezer to fridge
          2. After it warms up to fridge temperature take out
          3. After it warms up to room temperature remove sticky tape
          4. Enjoy

Probably for defrosting step 2 can be skipped but usually I start a day before so it is not really a problem.

          Hope this helps.

        • Hey Luka thanks for your feedback, much appreciated

        • @mannabeans:

Thank you for the excellent coffee :-)

(will probably order then next round again, depending on timing)

  • Thanks Rep. Ordered it.

  • thanks - ordered

    • wow quick delivery - came yesterday (Fri 22nd)

  • I can't get enough of your coffee, and your service is amazing! I recommend you to anyone who starts talking about coffee beans.

The Ethiopia Sidamo Mustefa is some of the best coffee I've ever tasted …. do you have any idea when you'd have the Sidamo Mustefa on special again?

    • +1

Thanks Luke, very generous feedback and much appreciated. I don't think I've ever run a special on this coffee but am happy to consider one.

We have a few more Ethiopian naturals which are exceptionally good as a lighter roast for pour over like the Ethiopia Guji Sidamo Berta OCR naturals and also for espresso as a slightly darker roast. I just received 2 x new Grade 1 Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffees in(Dumerso and Kochere) When I get a chance I'll chuck them up on the website.

The reason why we haven't offered these coffees under these deals is that as naturals they are more fruity and generally better for pour over and espresso. Not everyone who drinks as a milk based coffee would like them. Some would love them, others would hate them. That's why we've tried to play it a bit safer with the offerings.
