What stopovers would anyone rec from Bne to bkk?

    • -3

Most will stop in KL but flying direct is the way

    • Your joking right ?

      • Don't you care where you stopover ?

      • So much negativity about this deal… Is it because of the military junta in Thailand?

    Sadly not available for Perth

    NO BINGO

Price per traveller, taxes not included $796.00

    Travellers Flights Taxes
    2 adult(s) x (796.00 + 136.30) = 1,864.60 AUD

  • Also from Syd….but not a great deal
    2 adult(s)x (709.00 + 135.54)= 1,689.08 AUD

Sorry, but isn't this a good deal, given it is direct flight?

I'm looking at other options (MEL-BKK-MEL), and whilst a lot of other airlines are a little bit cheaper, none seems to fly direct.

Does anyone know what other airlines fly direct from Melbourne to Bangkok, for cheaper than this deal?

    Thanks.

    • Skyscanner is your friend here…or kayak

You should take this deal if you are looking for a direct flight with full-services.
      It's good price.

  • Good price but not a deal.

It's a deal if you can fly during Christmas holiday, no blocked date but there're not available.

  • I'd never pay more than $800 to fly Syd —> Land of Smiles return.

Best Ive payed is around $400 via KL, and others have flown cheaper again.

That being said, this is around $800 return, and is in PEAK time.

    December —> January.

Leave booking too late and u will easily be paying $1k+.

Does this fare include body armour and weaponry?

  • It an OK price….just not a great deal.
Jetstar Dec out/ Jan return $622 Direct = $1244 total
Of course Thai is full service…but with jetstar you could go into Phuket and out of BKK with a $50 internal flight

    • can you provide a link or some sample dates for this? I can't find this. $800 for a christmas/new years flight is pretty good????

  • I stop flying THAI since I found Qantas or others runs more cheaper fare. I really don't care much about onboard services, but safety and pilot experience do. THAI has too high airfare in this route.

  • My wife and I tried to use a similar deal offered by Thai airways last year, but it was completely impossible to book the actual fare advertised. We even tried calling Australia and Thailand Thai Airways head offices and asking, just HOW is it possible to get a flight for your advertised price? One rep spent two hours on the phone trying different options, and could not get it close to the advertised fare. It was always more than $200 more expensive, which made it more expensive than the REAL prices (including taxes and surcharges) from other airlines.

They might be a good airline to fly with (I've flown them before a couple of times when they were offering read deals) but I don't trust their deals now.

I have not checked Brisbane/Melbourne, but best full service direct from Sydney for me is Qantas or Emirates. Can get Emirates when on sale for $748. MAS has Very good connections from Sydney to Bkk too, but not direct. Emirates may not show good prices for December/January, but their seats/pricing changes almost daily, and often cheaper December seats become available closer to December. (I think that they hold them back for possible longer haul bookings)

  • Jetstar is direct MEL -BKK AUD 528 but no extras. Day flight there, overnight return.
Malaysia airlines one stop in KUL. Under $650 . Pretty good for full service, great food and alcohol.
Best go to airline page for date availability and precise fares.

    • This deal is specifically for DEC/Jan

When you found the $528 price was it for DEC/JAN?

  • This is exactly when I want to go to Thailand (forced leave) but I can not get any flights to come up (returns an error every time). Am I doing something wrong? I'm trying to fly out of Melbourne late December and return early - mid January.
