Not as cheap as the previous deal/mexican origin store workaround, but if you're not especially competent at doing that sort of stuff, this is simpler.

There has been a lot of speculation. Screenshots and cross comparisons between Sims 3 and what is to be in Sims 4, it's the first Sims game that doesn't blow the Sims formula out of the water, except for the Spore-style-tweeks to the creator and emotions. Which, in my own opinion, are welcomed very much, but it's not quite as 'next gen' as sim aging, the aspiration system and detailed facial manipulation, or an open world neighborhood and whole-town aging.
The SimCity launch left a foul taste in everyone's mouth, and we all just hope it doesn't repeat. But even as a longtime Maxis fan, I'd be waiting til those reviews finally trickle in.
It's still not going to stop every teenage girl and their dog from buying it on day 1, though. It is THE SIMS after all.

I don't think the EA employees leveled up enough before creating Sims 4
Their Tech and Creativity skill levels are probably at about 6. Plus they're probably only on Promotion 3; EA-Mindslave.
They're apparently not allowing this game to be reviewed before its release date which doesn't bode well for it. If it's a bad game it will no doubt be heavily discounted before too long. I'd wait for the reviews to come in before buying this. If you're happy to take the chance (on the game) then I guess this price is way better than the local price.
