Help needed to find Micro USB to Lightning / 30pin connector

Hi,

I am trying to find a Micro USB (male) to Lightning / 30pin (Female) connector.

The purpose is to use a non iphone in a docking station that has lightning / 30 pin male connector.

All my searches only throw up male lightning/30 pin with female USB connectors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Uhm… it doesn't work that way. The protocols are completely different.

I mean, you might be able to get charging. At best. You're not gonna get any music playback, video out, etc. with a passive adapter/cable. Heck, I don't think it's possible with an active adapter - unless it's some convoluted mess that acts as a USB peripheral (and therefore requires OTG on the phone side) and Lightning peripheral at the same time. And if such a thing did exist, it definitely wouldn't be cheap.

The male-Lightning to female-USB cables you've found are likely the Lightning version of OTG, to let you connect USB peripherals to an iPhone or iPad. I don't think they would work with a dock.

Of course, this could all be wrong.

  • tldr: Not possible

  • A shame that you’re saying this doesn’t exist.
I have a gimbal and it has a micro USB that can be used to connect to a phone.
I have an iPhone and thus can’t use this feature.

  • If it’s just for music - use a Bluetooth adapter like this one: https://www.gadgets4geeks.com.au/bluetooth-audio-music-recei…

If it’s just to charge, no dice.

  • Do you want a OTG?
