Good Ergonomic Office Chair

I am trying to find something for fathers day.
I was seeing someone recommend good chair. I have used those heavy duty herron chairs before but they cost $2000. Main thing for it to have good back support

  • If $2000 is no good, what is your budget? The aeron chairs are great for half the price.

    • That's still too much. Basically, whatever is next best thing to the aeron chairs. Between $150-$450.

      • I may get flamed for saying this but I bought 1 of those racing seats from Office Works for $149. Surprisingly comfortable, the back supports decent and you get to look stupid sitting it in. In terms of price, this was the best I could find. There is better supporting chairs but I couldnt find 1 for the price.

        • I was thinking about it as well :). I'll go have a look tomorrow then.

  • I tried this out at Costco awhile ago and felt quite comfortable, definitely better than those from Officeworks. As good as the Herman Miller for the price of ~$260. Found a picture an Ozbargainer uploaded.

    • When I went to the Auburn Costco they were out of the Executive version but I grabbed the smaller one (on the right in that picture) for $150. I like it. I think having a mesh base is the key for me. I find that the most comfortable type of chair to sit on. If they had the Executive one at Costco I would have bought it, but this is certainly very good for the price.
