Usually one use per account. Some of us may have several accounts…

Great for textbooks. I find the US store to be a bit cheaper on a few of the books I've wanted.

These codes won't work on the Australian store, but they will work in the US, Canada or UK. Changing stores is a very simple process on the Kobo store, just go into your settings and change your country to US, Canada or UK to use these codes.

I recommend choosing a sales tax-free US state, eg Oregon. When you're done you can just switch back to Australia without issues :)

    • Thanks! Updated the title

      • Hi, I couldn't find where to do this. Do you mean on the device itself or your kobo account on the internet? Can't find anything on the device (Kobo Touch), only if I sign in to my account via the internet, and then the only country page I can see is for payment info (have to enter address etc)

        • The payment info is where you change it.

        • Thanks! Did this but couldn't find a place to enter the code at checkout, even after ensuring I was searching for only books that can have the promo code applied :(

@mattlol: Make sure that under My account options on the lower right it is set to "Show me standard checkout" not "show me quick buy"

          @mattlol:

You have to go to the final screen "confirm purchase" and it gives you an option to enter a promo code there.

  • The promo code could not be applied

I can't use them - is there some kind of limitations to the codes?
    (edit: other than the country…)

In the past they have been one use only, although this current batch seems to be one use per account.

Make sure your book is eligible to use codes, as some aren't. When searching use the filter on the left side. Also, typically books which list two prices (one with strike through, then a cheaper price underneath) are coupon-able

      • Thanks, that helps.

The problem with Kobo codes is that they are usually restricted to non-major line publishers. And these seem even more restricted. So you can't buy anything you actually want, but you can get a bunch of vanity published Teen Paranormal Vampire Werewolf Romance dreck.

Except that 90% off one. That was the Ozbargain land of milk and honey.

  • I don't know if any of you have worked out how to use the single use code multiple times…

Open a new tab/window for a book you want to buy, checkout book to the point where you apply the code. Keep doing this with every book you want to buy but only to point of applying code. When you're done applying the code to all the books you want, go through the payment with all opened tabs.

To save even more, buy a kobo gift card from Woolworths with a 5% off giftcard from RACV/RACQ/Entertainment book/etc

    Enjoy!
