Quesiton regarding Aegean Gold and flying other airlines

I've been reading about getting Gold status through Aegean Airlines and it seems like a return ticket to London would get me Gold status for 3 years.

I'm also a Virgin Australia member and was wondering if I fly AirNZ to LA, am I able to get the benefits of the Aegean membership, but have the points go to my Virgin account (by putting the Virgin number in the FF box when buying my ticket)?

AirNZ are both a Star Alliance member and have a partnership with Virgin, so I think I could do this, though I am unsure.

Short answer: Yes. Done it before multiple times

If you have gold or plat status with Virgin, get a status match, so you don't have to waste your points with Aegean.
If you travel more than once a year, try getting a star alliance gold. Star Alliance Gold is so worth it.

    • I'm just about to go Silver on Virgin at the moment, hence I'm still a while away from achieving Gold.

But knowing that I use the Aegean Gold benefits whilst gaining Velocity points is great, thanks for the help.
