Orbitz Hotel 48h Sale (Plus 20% Discount Coupon)

110
BYEBYE20

Just found this when trying to book a hotel.

20% discount in a very large number of hotels. The price difference compared to all other booking sites/search engines is massive.

I've also become a Orbitz Rewards member (quick and easy, with email address, no conf required) to gain up to 5% discount extra in hotel bookings.

This is the sort of Orbitz booking deal that used to surprise me on my hotel receptionist years. I used to wonder how did the hotel authorise that price.

PLEASE NOTE: prices are in USD

Minimum stay: none
Book by September 2, 2014, travel by March 31, 2015.

Did you go to rates to go and apply great15 promo code?
    Heaps cheaper and inc gst

    • +1

Yes. My booking for instance, is AUD 20 cheaper, including taxes and conversion, via Orbitz. And the hotel I chose is not even one of the 48h sales deals

  • Travel before March 31, 2015.

Anyone know when April specials start coming out? Ive got to travel early april :-/

    • Before the good ol days of u-book-it budget airlines and hotels, April 1 was always the review date for airfares and hotel tariffs. Using a travel agent then, as we all had to do, there would be a stumbling block booking too far in advance for itinerary after April 1. No idea now as to why that block is still evident though.

"We're sorry the promo code you entered is not valid for this destination" - code not working for Hong Kong hotels when I try.

    • Not working for the last few destinations around Thailand too :/

can confirm it's working for Melbourne though.

      • and for Sydney too, just tested a booking at Parkroyal Darling harbour, about $70 cheaper than booking.com. nice find OP (Y).

  • Yeah, not working for Bangkok. Darn it.

Some deals are good, especially the "Orbitz reward hotel" ones, example, Surfer Paradise Grand Chancellor $508 usd for 5 nights, vs Wotif $150-180 aud pn on the same date.

Some deal works out to be the same after all the conversion etc.

    • Funny, that's the one I've booked :)

      • I rang, $15 for parking pn, unlimited entry. Which makes around $130 pn, book 5 nights also :). Still not bad!

    • Booked with grand chancellor too, deluxe king family room

  • I've made a booking on Surfers Paradise and the code worked. The booking turned out to be 23.5% cheaper (MasterCard conversion rate included) than on the Hotel's website. Thank you renaldof.

  • still comes out more expensive for the Soul Surfers paradise. bugger

  • Thanks, OP. Just saved $250 on a 4 night Darwin stay.

  • Thanks. Booked New York. Was cheaper than other sites by $30 after adding tax
