Little Creatures Rogers Pale Ale $49.95 at Dan Murphy's (Normally $62.95)

160

Arguably the best full flavour mid-strenght (3.8%) craft beer available in Australia.

Normally, very hard to find a slab under $60 these days.

Even better if you can take advantage of the AMEX deal (spend 50, get 20 back) provided you saved the offer and add something else to your shopping cart to make it over 50 dollars (say, a 0.99 bottle of water).

5% cash back if you use cashrewards.

Just can't justify the price for whats effectively a mid-strength.

    • Agree, it's a good saving, but imo not a good deal as it's too expensive for what it is. Thanks for posting though OP!

      • Give us full strength for the same price then you got yourself a deal!

      Different strokes for different folks.

I enjoy more of these at a friends house, and be able to drive home without the fear of losing my license.

Saves me money on taxi fares too ;)

This is exactly why I love it the most - the fact I can have a few and still be able to drive home.

Murray's Brewery from Nelson Bay does another stellar mid-strength called Retro rocket (2.8 ABV) which is even better, but unfortunately they don't bottled it - it's only available on tap at very limited venues.

        • Would a 2.8 be considered a light beer?

A midstrength beer that distinguishes itself far away from the more mass produced stuff (including full strength beer)

Would opt for a carton of this stuff over most stuff available in the bottle shop these days.

Given the price/standard drinks/taste value nexus, this beer is so named because that is what it does to your wallet.

  • I'll stick with their regular pale ale…

  • The next in line in the mid strength stakes - coopers orange - is usually $40 a case so an extra tenner is repaid through enjoying the change.

  • For what it's worth this is not a pale ale it's an amber ale

It's also awesome and far better than most generic full strength beers eg Carlton, Tooheys, etc. I didn't realise it was mid strength as it's a good rich ale.
