Hopefully this is an easy question, does anyone know an outlook friendly rss feed address for the gaming category I can setup?
I click RSS on the page and it gives me the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/cat/gaming/feed url, but this doesn't work in outlook.
I have the frontpage one setup OK as - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/rss.xml - this works.. but can't seem to manipulate the gaming category feed URL to work for an outlook subscription. Any ideas?
Thanks for your quick reply Scotty. Outlook advises it cannot download the rss content because of a problem connecting to the server. I initially had a problem when using the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/feed url that I obtained from the front page, until I switched to the https://www.ozbargain.com.au/rss.xml link instead (which worked). I just can't seem to do the same with the gaming feed url.
I can't be sure it's not a problem with outlook somewhere.. was just hoping to see if it's an easy workaround.

The second URL (rss.xml) actually bounced to Google's FeedBurner. Looks like Outlook has problem connecting to OzBargain feeds directly but okay when it's passed through a 3rd party service. It's possible that Outlook does not like RSS feed on HTTPS.
Hmm, thanks both for your replies. I am using Outlook 2010. I'm sure I've had it working before too. May be something on my machine or network. That's all I wanted to clarify. Thanks for responding, if I know the URL should work I'll keep fighting with it from this end.
What do you mean by "not working"? The RSS feed itself is valid according to W3C Feed Validator.
