I'm looking to buy a Weber Smokey Mountain in the next few weeks. As there never seems to be any sales on these the price is always $699. This is for the 18.5" which is the only one that Weber will allow to be stocked in Australia.
I have researched importing one from the US (both 22" and 18.5") but will end up more expensive, especially now that the exchange rate has gone off the boil a bit.
Hoping some OzBargainers out there have any ideas on how to source one a bit cheaper. I'd be more than happy with 10%.
Was even hoping that the eBay BBQ deal next Sunday (50% with max $250) would do it but no one is selling any WSMs.
BTW, has to be the WSM…I don't like the ProQs and the quality of off-sets here in Oz is pretty shocking unless you go $1500+

Update: Just snagged a 22.5" for $649 with the eBay 50% off offer. Someone had one for sale (brand new) in Melbourne.
$899 listing. Happy Days ! (for seller also I'm sure)
