Triple monitor suggestions

HI Guys,

I am so lost on what to choose. I currently have 2 x Samsung S24B300 and the quality is pretty average. I have found myself wanting tripple monitors for a while now and figured now would be the time.

My issue is there are so many out there now! Is there any common well known setup ideal for gaming and beautiful picture quality?

Nothing bigger than 24" either

I would be happy to spend $1000-1300 on new monitors.
Should i go IPS? I love the new ROG but its wayyy to expensive
What do u think of AOC G2460PG 24in 144Hz G-Sync Gaming Monitor

  • Using for what? Gaming? Why not just get one big TV screen?

Traders recommend digitalTigers.com, or that's what I want to get when I eventually need 4 or 6 monitors. They're American-based though.

Just saw the page http://www.digitaltigers.com/multi-screen-monitors.asp and has Bill Gates using a triple. Interesting. Guess it must be real pricey then ;-p Get what you pay for though.

Edit: within your budget though http://www.digitaltigers.com/ultraflex-trio22pro.asp ~AUD$1300
Edit2: $1439 for trio of 24". Might work. Maybe they'll have some discount code somewhere or a sale coming up.

    • Haha thanks.

Mainly for gaming and work. The linked monitors are 8ms and can't even see a resolution.. But thanks!

  • +1

    21.5inch?

Why not just grab 3 24inch dells

Though my plans for is 3 27 or 30inch, 24 feels small these dayas

    • I'm torn on what type like IPS etc… Also nvidia G-Sync has me interested

  • Wouldn't it be best to use the 2 monitors you have for the left/right ones, and get a, awesome new one for the front/central monitor? Why get 3 new ones if you already have 2?

    • Could be thick bevels. Consistency in look. He also doesn't think the picture quality is the best on the current ones.

You would most likely be bested off with IPS just because the viewing angles on the left and right monitors would screw with the colors of other panels.
Assuming you do 3 monitors in a arc around you, IPS would be the best for consistent colours on each monitor no matter what angle you view it.

      • +1 also my current monitors are not versa comparable which means no decent mount to keep them adjusted correctly.

What do you think of g sync?

        • Look forward to trying it out when the new cards are announced this month so I can work out what I am buying.

Until then, I cannot make a personal or very educated comment.

  • Have you seen the monitor setups with the 3/6 conjoined and rotatable?

    I think samsung make them.

    • Yeah, PCcaseGear used to have it, $1200-1300 for it. Cheaper to buy 3 monitors with thin bevels and then you have better control of their positioning and use later on.
