Will retailers Like JB Hi-Fi, Good Guys, Dick Smith, Harvey Norman price match Amaysim online store?

Hi,

I want to order a new LG G2 and found it at the Amaysim Moble Shop for $429.95 :

http://mobileshop.amaysim.com.au/lg-g2-32gb.html?utm_source=…

Will retailers generally match this price and if so who are the ones most like to come to the party

Thanks

Colin

  • TGG offer a 30 day price guarantee.

    From TGG Website:

"We beat any price, online or advertised

If you find a lower price online or advertised within 30 days of your purchase we will refund 120% of the difference.

At The Good Guys our aim is to have 100% customer satisfaction. The answer is yes to any reasonable request*.

*Our "30 Day Price Guarantee” applies to personal shoppers only. The item must be sold by an authorised dealer in Australia of the relevant manufacturer. For online competitor prices the item must be available for immediate shipment. The item must be for the same brand and model and the product must be new and factory sealed. It must also be subject to a manufacturer’s warranty applicable in Australia. Competitor’s prices must be in Australian dollars and will be adjusted for any fees, taxes or other charges such as shipping. "

Buy it from TGG for $544 then claim their price guarantee. So being $430 on Amaysim, you'll get a refund of

    (544-430) * 1.2 = 136.8

So effectively you pay $407.2 for the phone.

Just remember to check that each criteria is met for you to take maximum advantage.

    • The price beat policies of both stores are negated due to this being grey-market stock. You can only hope that you get a somewhat unknowing employee if you actually want to attempt the price match.

  • You can try, but these phones are grey-imports as shown by the model number of the G2 being D802 when the Australian variant is D802TA, as well as having the 16GB Moto G, so this is similar to asking them to price match Kogan or DWI.

    • Thanks for checking Feepitee, I didn't know if it was just lack of information in the Amaysim model number.

      • I'm guessing that the Amaysim Mobile Store is just a gateway to Yatango Shopping - the prices for all their phones are the same and the layout of the website before the rebranding of Yatango (Mobicity) is the same.

  • TGG doesn't match grey imports like Kogan.
