CASHREWARDS $12.80 cashback on Booking.com

This seems extremely generous, and there is almost zero detail on CashRewards about it. All that it says is "Booking.com Bonus $12.80 Cashback"
It does not say "per night" or "per booking". I booked for one night, and I received anemail notification that I would get $A12.80 cashback after the return period expires. So it is certainly working. If I post it as 'a deal' I am sure to get negged to kingdom come, but I just wanted to give people a 'heads up'

  • Nice pick up.

The OzBargain data is showing '$12.80 For all completed bookings' as per the booking.com store page. So I guess it's a flat $12.80

I wonder how long it's been around for?

    • It is good for Vietnam hotels where you can get a good room for $40 = 30% rebate for 1 night. Where do you find/access the 'Stores' on OZb?

      • Yeah I wonder if people will make 14 booking for 14 nights instead of 1 booking for 14 nights in this case :p They would get $179.20 cash back instead of $12.20!

The store pages show below the thread, you can see the store page below your post above for booking.com

Direct link to a store page is www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/websitehere.com , so in this case www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/booking.com

Any cashback offers for that site are listed there, can click on it to see more information and compare offers:

        Cashback CashRewards StartHere 2 offers

        • Thank you very much. I need a 9 night booking but 9 x 1 night would really confuse the hotel and there is a good chance that it would be stuffed up.

        • @peck:

I'd still do it, I'd just ring up and say I'm not sure what happened but I have 9 bookings for 9 nights can you merge them.

        • @strikerzebra: In my experience with bookings through booking.com the hotel will tell you to contact booking.com direct with any issues.

so you're paying more to get $12 back ?

Bookings.com aren't doing it for love.

The more you use these sites, the more you will end up paying.

It's just like when you use Woolies or Coles for fuel.

The 4 cents so called discount will actually be 4 cents or more up front, so no discount really.

Use other petrol stations & other means of booking hotels or you will pay more in the long run.

    NOW $15.00 cashback with CASHREWARDS.

    • just made a booking and got an email saying $12.80 cashback, instead of the $15 i was expecting. anyone have the same experience?

      • Yes. When I look in my account it shows $12.80 cashback despite the $15 showing on their web site when I booked. It looks like they failed to update their system after the cash back changed from $12.80 to $15.00. It would be great if you could clarify it with them and let us know.
I am not game to contact them in case they look closely at my bookings and see that I split some bookings to maximise rebates. :o( I would be interested in any info on other Australian cash rebate sites for Booking.com

Hi There, Andrew here from Cash Rewards, you should have received $15 however we had a technical glitch and sales that should have gone through at $15 went through at the old rate, your account should now have been updated with the correct amount or will be in the coming days..sorry about this, any queries let me know.

Hi There, Andrew here again - BTW no worries with booking splitting as there is no rule against this!

        • Hi Andrew,

Does this deal work if you select "pay later"?? and How soon do we get the confirmation?

          I've started a thread.

          Thanks.

  • I have placed orders in ebay with cash rewards. But all cashbacks were all in pending after two months…So, I will switch back to velocity points.

    • cashbacks from ebay on cashrewards become approved after one month faster than velocity which takes 3 months!

  • Great for Asian hotels, but not so much for US or western Europe hotels. 5.4% cashback from StartHere would give more cashback per booking pretty much for all bookings 2 nights or more.

    • starthere is showing me $14.40 flat rate cashback, not 5.4%.

      • Starthere also has different rates depending on your membership level. It shows $12 for booking.com, but then when I joined up, it showed $8 for beginner level membership.

  • Cashrewards is no longer showing booking.com. Chill Cashback is showing $12.95 per booking for booking.com

    • Beware booking from Chill Cashback, I made three bookings on the same day and only one was recorded. Wrote to them and they said that

"it's possible that the Booking.com will only count one transaction per customer or one transaction per PC."

  • Nice pickup, this could be handy for bookings in phillippines

Cashrewards has just re listed Booking.com. $15 rebate per booking again!

Beware! Chill Cashback's redirect to booking.com now redirects to an extortion site that prompts you to install software that will hijack your PC. I have notified them of the problem (and no the problem is not on my side, I have verified independently).

  • does cashrewards work if you select to "pay later" ??

When do you find out if you'll get the $15 reimbursed?

All i got was booking confimration from bookigs.com and nothing else.

  • Looks to be only $12 off now.

  • Yeah..when do they email?

  • Booking.com is gone from Cashrewards again! :(

    • No mention here of Agoda, but they have 5% cashrewards and are the same price as others on one particular place I want to book today.

    • Seems to come and go, and go up and down on Cashrewards. Try Chill cashback $12.95.

  • I've successfully had the booking.com cashback tracked a few times now with no issues

  • I used Cashrewards to book and stay at hotels in September last year. They still show as 'pending' and I'm really suspecting that they don't pay up. Waiting 6 months is ridiculous. I now accept less from Starthere/pricepal because they have followed through and paid me. What's other people's experiences with Cashrewards like? My advice is to go with the one's who pay as a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

    • Cashrewards & Chill Cashback have paid me on Booking.com bookings. And Qwibble has paid me on hotelclub. However I made the bookings using promo codes, and I know that I am not guaranteed a cashback when using a code. Not sure if there were any that were rejected as I do not watch the cashbacks closely. When I do get a cashback, I treat it like a bonus. I do not rely on it when comparing prices.
