Myer.com.au - order cancelled?

I made two seperate orders on Myer.com.au on Sunday. One order has been updated to dispatched today.

The other order is listed as "In Progress", ie status hasn't changed since that order was placed. Today, the Myer online shop updated this product's availability to "out of stock".

How long does it take for Myer to cancel orders when they've realised they're out of stock? Thanks.

  • Depends, if they can't find stock in one of there many stores you will receive an email stating it is out of stock and you will receive a refund. A good hint as to if that is going to happen is in your order page the product will say something like "back order" instead of "In Progress". You should receive an email within a few days, but they can be quite slow

    It's a bit odd. I posted the deal on Friday, ordered online and spent enough to get a free umbrella.

    First item to be available yesterday was the umbrella. So picked it up. Today the rest of my order was cancelled due to no stock. So overall, paid nothing, got free umbrella.

  • I ordered Samsung tablet from Myer Online. The website was showing in stock three days after the order. I even discussed with customer service team about the free case mentioned on website 4 days after the order. But after 2 weeks they rejected the order saying that they miscalculated the stock and refunded the money. I tried to discuss and argue but no result.

  • Had something cancelled after about a week. Their inventory system is awful.
