Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 LTE 16GB White (4G, Unlocked)

looking around to buy Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 LTE 16GB White (4G, Unlocked). I found this website

which seems to be cheapest $528 than Kogan and then you look on to a retailers website they are around $700-$800. My First question is.

whats the difference between the phones you buy from such website and retailer?
Have you guys had any experience with this website before?
Should I buy from them or stick with the retailers?

bit confused guys need your help.

also the website say NO GST on order below $1000.00 and I think thats the reason its cheap. But I don't really care if I am not paying GST good for me.

  • Not too sure which retailer you would be comparing to, but I'd assume they were Aussie retailers.

If that is the case, then the Aussie retailers come with Australian warranty meaning you can take it to Samsung in Australia if you choose to do so.

If you compare that to Kogan, you actually have to go through them for warranty as they are usually grey imports and must be sent back to Samsung in the original country of origin. Again, using Kogan as an example, the item will be sent to Kogan and then forwarded to Samsung in HK for assessment and repair.

  • I have bought many phones on ebay or grey importer like Kogan or Unique mobiles, if you bought from reputable sellers, i.e feedback 99% + positive, it is quite safe. So far, I have not have any issues with faulty ones, but if it does, it may be a hassle to get it repaired. My experience is if you buy new, the chances of faulty one is quite low and by the time it breakdown, there are better ones in the market and you might as well sell the faulty one you have and get a new one. I would suggest grey import if the diff is $150 to $200 less than local one.

  • mate i'd avoid them. looking for the same phone, they have horrible reviews.
