Note for potential winners: you can freeze KK doughnuts without them going weird in any way. Just reheat in the microwave (they shouldn't take long, so don't nuke them for like 5 mins or anything lol). They come out as good as they are fresh - surprisingly, the frosting crisps up again and doesn't melt off as you might expect.
Source: several years ago, my dad kept impulse buying KK original doughnuts from fundraisers at the local shopping centre. He ended up thinking "why the hell did I buy so many?!" and threw them in the freezer. Microwaved them one at a time as needed and they were good as new lol. He even served me one to prove they survived the freezing/reheating process well.
I'm still recovering from the sugar hit… :P
