Best place to buy FIFA15 on PC?

Hi all,

I'm buying my nephew FIFA 15, and just wondering where would be the best place to buy it. I've seen a lot of key sites but not sure which are legit. Also doesn't seem like JB/EB are selling it in-store.

I'm not being tight btw, I'm just passing the savings on to my nephew so he can get more bang for his birthday buck.

Cheers.

you could try OzGameShop.com if you want a physical copy. i don't know what a 15 FUT Gold Pack is, but ye, i'm sure they have variations without that extra pack for cheaper.

Thanks Andrew, had forgot to check these guys. So they'll actually send out before release? I just assumed they would mail out on the release date and I'd be getting it a few weeks later.

Also noticed that they have a code purchase:

    Thanks again.

  • Nice I do enjoy purchasing games from Ozgameshop too

Use Google Chrome and Hola to access the Mexican price for FIFA 15. Rather than pay $90 AUD (Australian site), I paid just $50 AUD through the Mexican store.

All you need to do is go onto the origin site through Chrome, turn on Hola and choose Mexico. The page refreshes onto the Mexican store with their pricing.

Click pre-order for the version you want (Google Translate may come in handy). Add to cart and when it comes to the login page for Origin, turn off Hola and login to Origin as normal. You'll then go through PayPal to pay and you'll get FIFA 15 on PC for $50! You can start pre-loading the game 2 days before release so you can play at midnight on the day it comes out which is handy if your nephew is really keen.

    • Thanks for this, and will definitely come in handy for future purchases.

I ended up grabbing the emailed code from Ozgameshop which was $52, so pretty happy with that.

Yeah fair enough, $2 difference for a little less hassle :) hope it all works out!

Just a quick reminder to your nephew, the demo has just come out so he can play that until the release date. 2.5 gb download through the origin program.

        Happy gaming!

    • Hey buddy,
That sounds really neat, good stuff. I have a question though before I may embark on such a stellar idea - will we get the global version/eng? I don't want to be stuck with compatability issues etc. I know you can choose language at installation right? But still…

        Hey rocky88,

There shouldn't be any problems with language or compatibility. I've done it before with Battlefield 3 when it was really really cheap on the Mexican store and there were no issues whatsoever.

If you're still unsure, I'm happy to report back on Thursday when the game releases and let you know if everything works? :)

        • I see. But how about online gameplay did you have Mexican flag near your name. Hmmm. Okay man. Thanks.

        • @rocky88:

Should be no issues whatsoever. It's only during purchase that you access the origin website through a VPN (Hola).

Downloading and playing the game is via the origin program itself and things will be 'Australian' unless you run a VPN to go through another country

        • @IceCreamBandit:
So the game is already listed in your origin library but you cant actually download it till midnight wednesday night? or thursday sometime?

        • @rocky88:

Yep, it's in my library waiting for preload which begins tonight at midnight.

        • @IceCreamBandit:
But when exactly are you able to play our time? Do they tell you?

I think im going to try your Mexican trick tonight.

p.s sidenote: i have a question unrelated to fifa which i will pm you

        • @rocky88:

The website store treats you as a Mexican customer, so they sent me an email telling me I could preload on the weekend. However, once in the Origin client itself, everything becomes Australian and preload doesn't begin until 48 hours before the Australian release (preload begins midnight tonight for midnight release on Thursday).

Those who are absolutely desperate to play the full game early are attempting to use VPN clients to move to a country that releases today/tomorrow (Korea and US IIRC) to get around the release dates but no one has been able to confirm success on Whirlpool forums yet.

        • @IceCreamBandit:
So in summation the steps are:
1.Download Hola and Install it esp addon for Chrome
          2.Open Chrome
          3. Visit origin.com but do not log in yet (correct?)
          4.Turn Hola addon on
          5. I will automatically get redirected to Mexico site if not I "chose Mexico" or refresh page
          6.Turn translation on
7.Click on the Fifa pre order package I want (standard) and add to cart.
8.I will be asked to log in but before I do so I turn off hola then I log in.
          9. Will go through paypal and keep your details as they actually are such as country Australia and not Mexico..real email.
          10. And you got it.

          Is that right??

        • @rocky88:

All good. Only minor changes to what you have there.
4-5 will be the one step, once you turn on Hola, you will choose the country (Mexico), then the site refreshes to Mexican version.

6 - There may be issues with running both translation and Hola. I'd suggest just having another tab open for Google Translate and just copy and pasting text for translation. You can also use another browser to open the Australian site and just have a side by side comparison

8-9 is correct, just use your normal origin and paypal accounts to process payment, which will hopefully lead you to 10! If there are any issues just start over again and hopefully it all works

        • @IceCreamBandit:
I cant send messages because Im new ( do you have an origin id, if so what is it? ) oh yeah and I just had to comment more now since i tried the process and since you can only comment only a certain amount if your new so whistles thus the 1 next to my name. Anyways,

          so I tried the process.

I have a problem. Everything works well up till the part when I go to checkout in the mexican site. When I get asked to log in in Mexican I turn off the addon as we discussed. The page refreshes i think but it remains in mexican! Is that normal? Okay so if it is, I type my log in details (its okay because the add on is OFF despite the site langauge still being in mexican), then I log in, its still all in mexican…. IS it supposed to be like that? I thought at the end stages it would turn to english? Would it? So i buy in paesos?

        • @Rocky881:

The pages stay Spanish the whole way through even after Hola is turned off, that's fine. Just keep translating with Google.

You pay in USD through Paypal.

        • @IceCreamBandit:
Okay i think its a success!
I have the game on my origin after putting in the code I got from my email.
I have a friend who did the same thing I did but did not put any code in his origin client and the game was already there…strange.
You see hazard and messi on the title of it. It says Preload starts 3 am on 23rd.
          All good?
Thanks for all your help bro.

        • @IceCreamBandit:
