The biggest improvement from 2013 to 2014 version is the inclusion of a MicroSD card slot. The 8GB of internal memory on the DSE version is a little too small for me.

Other improvements are the inclusion of a gyro.

But same display resolution, amount of RAM, CPU, battery capacity, etc. Thought the trade off of putting up with increasingly large, less wieldy phones was for improvements in those other aspects.

      • How many GB have been taken up by system memory etc? 8GB is really too litle, if 16GB maybe is ok.

        • About 4GB on my 16GB model, so I have 10GB free, having used up 2GB. (I'm not keen on installing lots of apps.)

This look like a normal price for me.

Appears so. Officeworks has it for $199 as well. Previously it cost $238 at OW.

Perhaps this is a better deal for the same price.

Better specs in general, unless you need dual SIM functionality.

From where you see a better spec?

Dual Core, not 720p screen, smaller screen size.

      Did you read it wrong?

      • I suppose it depends on what specs you find more important - some specs are better, some are not. I was looking at the Razr M specs like LTE, expandable memory, DLNA, 8MP camera, 1080P video.

That Motorola Razr should be under $100 now. Don't give people such bag advice.

been having two of this model, very decent phone and long battery life too, can last for a whole day which my 5S can't do :)

and very good reception for rural areas too (forget about Telstra's bs blue-tick thing, I tested this with my iPhone 5S and 5C, both have no signal while this one has)

  • I believe it has dual SIMs that is not mentioned in the gsmarena comparison and the speakers are front speakers.

Moto is trying to get rid of the current model before the new one arrives, it is going to be at the same price as the old one.
