Coles Petrol extra 10c off per litre, Help please

I usually use Woolworths petrol to get 4c off per litre then buy 3 x 2L milk for $2 each. I usually get 50 litres so I get $2 off my petrol and an extra $2 off the milk as I get a further 4c off for in store purchases over $5. As I will use the milk I see this as a win win.

Coles have a 4c off per litre but if you spend $20 in store then you get 10c off per litre extra. I can only buy a few 2L mils, can anyone think of anything else to buy inside coles express that is the same price as supermarket and you can use to get the discount of 10c per litre. If I get 50 L of petrol and spend $20 then I get a further $5 off.

I was just curious as I thought there may be others out there who think like this

Thanks for your time

:)

  • Have a look at their website, http://www.colesexpress.com.au

If you like the Nescafe Coffee, they sell it for the same price as the supermarket, $16.00. Make sure you check out the What's in Store/Down Down webpages. Shame it excludes recharge, I need to do a couple of phone recharges.

  • Thanks I will have a look,

you are right they dont do recharges. Woolworths Petrol do. I will check it out :)

  • Toilet paper used to be the same price (= 50Cents a roll) not sure if that changed ($10 pkt right there)

    Newspaper/magazines.

    • ever since the internet, i havent bought a newspaper in years. and with things like flipboard, magazines are done with too. Plus libraries provide mags for free.

  • Coles Bread $2.30, same as supermarket

There's also a particular pasta product that is the same as the supermarket but I can't remember which one.

As mentioned above, if a matching product is sold in the supermarket and it is on the "down down" promotion, the petrol station price will be the same.

Quilton is always prominently displayed for this exact reason, $10 packet.

  • There's quite a few purchase suggestions in the deal post for it: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/156255

    Check the comments as well.

Have you considered "flipping" the whole deal? By 6 litres of petrol (~$10) and 50 litres of milk (~$50). It'd be heaps cheaper than your normal deal.

    She'll be apples, Apples.
